“The Anglers Resort Hotel is on Washington Avenue. It is perfectly located away from the beach and Ocean Drive. But a short walk will take you to both of those “must see ” locations. My wife and I stayed there recently and found the hotel perfect for our needs. Great location, great staff, great food and a great room. The hotel has an immediate relaxing air about it. Hard to explain but great to experience. Would not hesitate to recommend it to others and look forward to returning one day.”

“When we arrived our reservation was not found (booking website mistake I think) and the hotel was full, but the people at the Front Desk managed first to get us a room for that night at a close hotel and to make the reservation for the following day. The next day we were surprised by an upgrade to a tower duplex and several attentions during the day. It was not their fault but they managed to make our stay great. I already knew the hotel and I knew it was great… but an amazing service and customer care makes it even better. For sure the best place in South Beach if you like boutique hotels very close but not in Ocean Drive.”

“My husband and I just spent the weekend in South Beach for the first time, and stayed here at Anglers. This Boutique Resort was the perfect location. Very close (2 blocks) from the beach and Ocean Drive, but tucked enough away that it felt quiet and more low key. The staff was incredibly nice, accommodating and helpful. They even gave us beach bags with towels/water to take to the beach, which we took advantage of every day. We were also able to enjoy an amazing breakfast and evening drinks outside on the gorgeous patios. Our room was a nice size, comfortable beds, and very clean. For anyone looking for a romantic or quieter place to stay, but that is also very close to the heart of South Beach- this is a great option. We will definitely come back!”

“I stayed here a while ago now but am intending to return within the next few months.
I chose a Tower Duplex King with Terrace & Spa. For the same price for a regular room in most 5 star hotels, here you get a upstairs/downstairs, living room, 2 bathrooms, outside seating area and your own hot tub! Definitely value for money.
After arriving from London around 11pm, we were checked in within 5 minutes and taken to our room. The room was clean and mini bar/snacks fully stocked. Although the bedroom is not massive it more than amply sized considering you get a downstairs and outdoor space.
The jacuzzi and terrace outdoors were also well maintained.
Despite our trip being very much a “chilling out” vacation and us sitting on our terrace for great periods of time, the staff were respectful and waited till we left/asked courteously before they cleaned the room. They replenished anything eaten/drunk and treated the jacuzzi water everyday.
When we asked for anything at the front desk, it was always met with a friendly face. When there was nothing on their room service to suit our taste they offered a few restaurant names and even gave us a couple of pizza/deli takeaway menus! They even alerted us when it was here so we didn’t have to wait around. What 5 star would do that?!
Similarly whenever we asked for a taxi it was there within seconds and we were never ripped off.
We only dined in the restaurant once as we were often out exploring around mealtimes.
The main pool was a fair enough size for the size of the hotel. It is overlooked by several rooms so if you’re self-conscious or if its busy then probably pick a quieter time. But if you have your own hot tub and an ocean you should survive.
The area is more “urban” i.e. not in a bubble of a big resort right on the beach. However you only have to walk 1-2 blocks and you’re on the beach/at the stores. The area isn’t unsafe or unfriendly.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and have. I am coming back this year Anglers, down let me down!”

It is a very interesting property; it feels like living in a very fancy apartment complex rather than a hotel. The location is terrific – it’s less than 20 mins from Miami airport, and 2 blocks from Ocean Drive, on a main shopping thoroughfare. Nice little heated pool, with the fantastic Lummus Beach a five minute walk away. The huge beds in the very spacious rooms are very, very comfortable and the restaurant is good, with a terrific breakfast. The staff is hugely polite and friendly and want to go the extra mile to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.”

“We stayed in November and it is an excellent hotel situated a couple of streets back from the main tourist area which meant a quieter stay.
Our room was situated towards the back of the hotel and was perfect. Special mention goes to the bed, shower and the surround sound system.
Towels and even a couple of bottles of water were supplied for the beach which was a very short walk away.
Staying there three nights we didn’t need a car as everywhere was accessible by foot
or bus. The staff was extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and things to do. They always seem cheerful and nothing seemed too much trouble.
Definitely recommend a stay in Miami and if you find a nicer hotel than the Anglers you will be lucky.”

“We spent 3 nights at The Angler in Miami. After 3 weeks of sightseeing around the US we were able to stop and relax at this beautiful hotel. The service was excellent and nothing as too much for the staff to help out with. Our room was beautiful and clean and very private and relaxing. One of our favorite things to do here was lay by the pool especially in the humidity and heat of Miami. The pool area was quiet and well appointed with very comfortable pool lounges. The Angler is 2 blocks back from the main tourist strip so it was quiet and a good place to stay away from the drinking crowds. We ate at the restaurant at the hotel and it was the best meal we ate out of our 5 week holiday across the state. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again next time we are in Miami.”

“I stayed here for just a night in November 2011. It is on Washington Avenue, 2-3 blocks off the beach. This translates to close to the action, but not in middle of the fraternity party that is the strip. VERY walk able to shopping on Collins and the beach.
I was greeted in a friendly matter. It is a very low key place. There was a hiccup between my travel agent and the hotel, but they checked me in anyway and sorted out the problem behind the scenes. Most places would have done it the other way around. Both days I was there, I was greeted by name, but not in a “forced” way … again, very polished and low key.
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. As expected at the beach, they are relatively small, but by no means cramped. The bathroom is upscale, and apportioned with nice toiletries. The free wi-fi worked well.
I had a very enjoyable stay and cannot complain about anything really. I would definitely go back.”

“We chose this hotel for our four night stay in South Beach based on Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. On check in we were upgraded from a Pool View room to a Poolside room with Patio, which I highly recommend to anyone as an upgrade. Direct access to the pool and breakfast served on your own terrace are a wonderful plus worth the extra cost.
Our room was well appointed with high quality furnishings and amenities, a wet bar, flat screen TV, DVD player, safe, etc. The bathroom was beautifully tiled, modern and immaculate. What really set this boutique hotel apart was the focus on friendly, personalized service which was evident with everyone we came in contact with. The personalized in-room check in was a nice, unexpected touch. We dined in the restaurant several times and all the wait staff, restaurant managers and especially the Bar staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home.
The location of the hotel is two blocks from the beach and less than a five minute walk. Very close and convenient to get to but far enough away from Ocean Drive to avoid the noise and late night traffic. There are many restaurants in the area and we felt at ease walking everywhere day or evening.
I would definitely stay here again if back in South Beach.”

“We stayed here for 2 nights during a recent holiday to Florida, and we were so pleased with our hotel selection. The rooms that we were allocated were stunning, but most importantly immaculate. The service the anglers provide is exceptional; all staff was welcoming and polite during our stay. Check in and departure was well organized and all personal touches had been thought of. A special thanks goes to Marc, who was friendly and very informative. When our pre booked tour bus was slightly late (may I add we booked this independently not through the anglers) Marc notices we were waiting on the outdoor seating and immediately equipped us with bottled water. He too provided us with recommendations for a restaurant in Miami as the anglers are closed for dinner on a Monday evening. He was spot on. We ate at the anglers once for dinner and twice for breakfast, on all occasions the service and food was fabulous, having said this portion sizes were huge at dinner time, great value for money. The location was perfect which meant we could explore the main areas of south beach with ease, 2 blocks from ocean drive and 1 block from Collins Avenue the places to be. One other thing that I must mention which highlights the cleanliness of the hotel and also the hard working nature of the staff is; at breakfast (which we were able to eat outside overlooking Washington avenue) we saw a man who was carrying a clipboard he pointed out an issue on the patio area, within 2 minutes a member of staff was hosing down the slabs. Thank you to everyone at the anglers what a super hotel, I will definitely be shouting about it to all friends and family.”

While there was a slight mix up over the room when we arrived, this was resolved quickly, and from then on it was fantastic. The room was great, and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Marc who helped us plan some trips was extremely knowledgeable in answering our inquiries. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, and sampled the famous Sunday brunch menu. Rain was pouring down upon arrival and we came late in the evening, so nice to have everything in order and all paperwork taken care of in our room! We didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant as we had other engagements, but the bar made nice Mojitos and provide good service. Hotel provides a nice beach pack with towels and water bottles. I will definitely come back unless this gem becomes absorbed by the larger chains – the staff is the key to their success.”

“We chose this hotel based on reviews—and we ended up loving our stay here. For three nights we luxuriated in Room 105, a ground-floor king studio, and enjoyed our private, shaded terrace accessible via two sets of French doors, the pool view, and easy access to the lush hotel grounds. My husband liked playing his iPod through the Bose surround-sound and watching baseball playoffs on the big TV as we lounged on the sofa and sipped our wine in elegant glassware provided in the room. (I’ve never showered to the sounds of Miles Davis before!) We also liked the location, an easy walk to Puerto Sagua, Big Pink, News Cafe, and the Wolfsonian, as well as to Monty’s on the marina and to Collins shopping and the beach. For travelers without cars, a stop for the 25-cent South Beach Local is right outside. Friendly and attentive service, especially from the delightful Jessica, ensured the excellence of our anniversary getaway. The seclusion made it feel as if we were staying in an upscale apartment complex owned by friends with super taste. All the nice touches add up to a very civilized stay, and you can instantly unwind once you enter the thoroughly charming premises, so tranquil and intimate, yet just two short blocks to the hustle on Ocean Ave. We would gladly stay here again.”

“Wow, where do I start! We just came back from a weekend trip (10/14- 10/16). I called earlier to inquire about the rooms and I spoke with the manager who was incredible. I happen to mention that we liked the duplex and also that my boyfriend was 6’6″ and she said the spiral staircase might be a bit uncomfortable for him so we went with the king studio suite.
I chose Anglers because I’d done the whole party scene at Miami – stayed at The Clevelander and Essex House over the past few yrs- spring break included. We wanted somewhere not so crazy- sophisticated, top notch, and still affordable. Location between 6th and 7th was close enough to the beach- a block and a half and the nightlife which was another 10 -15 blocks and further- a $5 -10 cab ride. This was perfect for us. We could go out till 3-4am and come back to a nice quiet spot while south beach was still buzzing till 6am.
Here are the highlights
-Hotel is beautiful! Nice and cozy feel to it. Lots of vegetation on the outside. It’s such a pretty site at night as well. The finishing inside the building is top notch. Whoever the architect was did an amazing job.
-They do in room check in – A brilliant idea. You are already in your room; you can sit comfortably and review your paperwork etc.
-Amazing service! Wow, they got all out. You get personalized cards with your name printed on it and direct phone # to your room, daily weather forecasts printed and addressed to us, turn down service, ice box filled even before we asked for it. There was a wealth of information in the room- lounges, clubs, restaurant recommendations, etc. Room was always cleaned in a timely manner. We dealt with Jessica and James and both were just outstanding. I hurt my foot and Jessica found me a cold compress for my foot. She even asked about my foot the next day. They also got me club soda to blot out stains on my white dress.
-The room! We had room 305! A Studio King Suite with TWO balconies and pool view. I was awestruck at the space and the layout, a nice spacious living room area. The idea of an all suite hotel in Miami Beach at this rate is almost unheard of. Most art deco hotels have small rooms. We had 4 closets where we could hang clothes- 3 in the room and 1 in the bathroom. Iron and board were available in the room, along with safe and 2 nice robes. Room is nicely decorated in neutral colors. Nice large flat screen tv that had a swivel thing so we could watch tv in bed or in the living room. Surround sound ALL AROUND the room! So much space everywhere! There was no outside noise, it was nice and quiet always. WI-FI worked, we didn’t use the iPod dock but were able to hook up our ipad to the TV and do everything we needed.
-The bathroom was nice and big, lots of room, nice dark wood trimmings and silver fixtures. The sink closet even had extra drawers to put more stuff as needed. All the fixtures were top notch and high quality. My boyfriend is in the plumbing business and was impressed. The finishing of everything was done with quality. Beautiful white Marble floors and shower tiles.
-We dined in one night and ordered room service before going out for the night. Food was tasty with lots of flavor.
It was nice to find a hotel in sobe that was spacious, with high end amenities, new/modern with outstanding service and still affordable. I’ve paid more for tired/old “art deco” hotels in sobe. Never again! This is it for me! Angler’s is it. You cannot go wrong with this place so look no further!”

“My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our trip to Miami in September because of the reviews we read about it and it was an enjoyable experience. Our rooms were well equipped, well decorated and very clean. The shower in the bathroom was simply heavenly. And the service? It felt like we were the only ones staying there. Kudos to Alexander who made our stay very warm and the bar man who made us fabulous cocktails. Meals at the restaurant were also very lovely and I’d recommend this hotel any day. It is also in a really good location, only two blocks from the infamous Ocean drive and the beach. But on the whole, we loved our stay here and will definitely be returning here when next in Miami.”

“Once we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted at our shuttle by the lovely Jessica…I still wonder how she knew it was us arriving because we were late for our anticipated 3pm check-in time.
She then walked us up to our room #311 where we were happy to know that we would check-in in our room! I’ve never experienced such a convenient way of doing a check-in… I love how everything was personalized (greeting letters, business/phone number cards and daily weather reports for planning your day). After Jessica went down stairs, we took in the beautiful spacious room with the 1 ½ bath, a luscious king size bed, a comfy sofa, an alcohol bar, the large plasma mounted into the wall, the surround Bose audio system, outside patio and large ceiling windows. I was more than happy with this place. Also, the nice thick cotton robes were a special touch! The next day we wanted to try the restaurant’s French toast and ordered room service. It arrived to the room and it was so amazing that we ordered it on another day! I freaking love that French toast! If you want to order lunch, there is this burger that is super good! I’ve been reading reviews on trip advisor for months just anticipating what other travelers experienced and wished to write a great review as well. I am so happy that I am able to contribute a positive review for The Angler’s Boutique Resort.”

“My g/f and I stayed in the king studio suite at the Angler’s Boutique in July. The hotel is located just 2 short blocks from the beach. The location is perfect in that it is central to everything in Miami Beach, yet it is in the quieter part of town and thus far enough away from the party scene. The room was fabulous. It was very large, modern and equipped with all the latest amenities. Our suite had a comfortable sitting area complete with sofa and love seat. The king bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern, clean and roomy. The rest of the hotel was also very exquisite, and the pool area was well maintained and luxurious. Every staff member was friendly, accommodating and helpful. If you go to the beach, the staff will provide you with a bag with towels and water to take along. I can describe this hotel and the experience it provides in just one word…classy.”

“We stayed in a duplex suite with terrace and spa and it was great. The room was cleaned very well each time the maid serviced the room. They even give you personalized printed weather forecasts for the next day each day your room is serviced! The room was bright and had the feel of being in a private location once we drew the curtains on both levels for the evening. The staff at the hotel was great! The provided plenty of recommendations for places to eat, shop, and drink. All were very friendly and professional. Upon check-in, we were shown to our room by a staff member who showed us where things were, and ensured that everything was to our liking.
As far as location, we were debating whether or not to stay on Ocean Drive since this was our first trip to South Beach. I must say that we are glad we stayed at this hotel on Washington Avenue. It is within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants, and even across the street from a Latin club- we never heard any noise or anything that we would have had to deal with if we stayed on Ocean Drive. All of the clubs on Washington Avenue are down the road a few blocks, so you can get some much needed rest and relaxation after a late night. The clubs there are open until 5, so trust me, you’ll want to sleep in after partying if you choose to do so. You won’t be awakened by any commotion at the Angler Boutique. Breakfast is served until 11AM also, so you get a little extra time to sleep in without missing breakfast. And if you don’t want to go to breakfast, have room service!
We plan to return to South Beach for future vacations, and we will definitely be staying at the Angler Boutique each time we go. Do yourself a favor and stay here.”

“After reviewing many of the hotels in South Beach we chose this one for five nights at the end of a US holiday. We’re so glad we picked the Anglers as everything about it was perfect. The location was the best as it was close to the beach, shops, restaurants and ocean drive but without the noise. We slept really well. The room I suspect was large by Miami Beach standards. We loved having a sitting area in addition to the bed. The bed and all furnishings were very comfortable. We had a poolside terrace room and we could sit on our own private terrace. The bathroom was large and well lit. The surround sound was even in the bathroom. The room was cleaned each day and the toiletries replenished. The pool area was great for relaxing and cooling off. There is a fridge and it was great to have the mini bar stock removed so we could put our own drinks etc in. All the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. The free Wi-Fi worked well. We only swam at the beach once due to the jelly fish, but the hotel provided towels and water. We highly recommend The Angler’s and would stay again if ever we went back to Miami Beach.”

“We visit South Beach frequently and had wanted to stay at The Angler’s. My partner’s birthday seemed like the perfect occasion. I had requested an early check in via email but was told that the room was not ready when we arrived. I mentioned the email and was told that the room was done but needed to be inspected. After about 20 minutes we were escorted to a truly wonderful accommodation. We had booked a simple, one-level room. We were upgraded to a duplex including a living room, bedroom and two full baths. We were very pleased. The “Happy Birthday” sign and balloons didn’t hurt either. Nor did the mini birthday cake delivered that evening. Beyond that, we were delighted by furnishings such as solid crystal lamps, beautifully upholstered headboard and bench, ceiling mounted tv/audio speakers, and on and on. The staff: Marc at the front desk in particular, was friendly and efficient. Everything about the Angler’s exceeded our expectations and we will most certainly return.”
